It might not be an exaggeration to say that the pajama party, which we organize every year for children preparing to start school, is one of our most special programs! The preparations are always accompanied by great excitement: the children, the parents, and we ourselves eagerly await everything to turn out as perfectly as possible.
Of course, the children immediately started planning, so well before the pajama party, they already knew who would sleep next to whom and what games they would play. But it wasn’t just the children who were making plans; we also started preparing and enriched the afternoon and evening with group games, songs, glitter tattoos, a campfire, and marshmallow roasting. There was dancing, laughter, and many touching moments!
We ended the day together with a slide projector storytelling session, and the story, along with the caring love of the teachers, soon lulled the children to sleep.
The next morning, after a shared breakfast, the kindergarten yard was buzzing with the children’s accounts of their experiences. Everyone listened curiously to hear what it’s really like to spend a night at kindergarten…
